To apply for the デジタル化・AI導入補助金2026, every business must complete SECURITY ACTION, a free self-declaration run by IPA, the government IT agency. It is also a good first step toward securing your company. Official site: SECURITY ACTION.
One star or two
- ★ 一つ星: you declare you will work on the 6 security points (情報セキュリティ6か条). You can declare before implementing them.
- ★★ 二つ星: you complete the "5分でできる！情報セキュリティ自社診断" self-check, write a basic security policy and publish it.
The IT subsidy accepts either.
The 6 points (2026 version)
In 2026 IPA added backups, growing the list from 5 to 6 items:
- Keep OS and software up to date
- Use antivirus
- Strengthen passwords
- Review sharing settings
- Back up your data
- Learn about threats and attack methods
How to declare
Since 1 April 2026, declarations go through the new "SECURITY ACTION管理システム" with GビズID login. According to IPA, the declaration ID is issued right after applying. You enter that ID in your subsidy application.
Note: rules, amounts and deadlines change every round. Always check the latest official call (公募要領) before applying.
